"Not good, but for the price was reasonable. It is the kind of hotel where you make yourself rough it since you want to be by the airport and don't want to pay $300 for a room when you are only sleeping there for a brief time. They need to be honest with their customers on the airport pick up times. We could feel the springs in the beds and they squeaked. Very low quality accomodations." (107141928)
Close to airport and the least expensive option that I could find. Large room.
They made us wait at the airport for 35 minutes waiting for a pickup out in the rain. If they had been honest with us and told us that it would be at least 20-30 minutes, we would have just taken a cab. Instead, they were dishonest, we had to call them 4 times at USA rates on our cell phone and they kept saying that the driver just left terminal 3. This was a lie as the driver told us that he made 2 pickups and drop offs at the hotel in the 35 minutes that we were told he was coming to get us. Honestly, we were quite furious and the airport had closed for the night. We ended up sick after the adventure of standing in the wind and rain for that length of time. Horrible experience especially when we were exhausted from our travels. Also, we were given a hostel type room and the beds were horrible.

"OK, so it's London and its RIGHT next to Heathrow and because of this it was a reletivly cheap £64. Clean sheets and a comfy bed. The staff were friendly once you manage to break down the language problems." (107155401)
No real good points at the lodge at all apart from when the aircraft STOPPED flying DIRECTLY overhead. The pub down the road was quite good and served mountains of chips.
Where do I start....? The room it's self was nothing special, needed a complete refit, the walls were dirty as was the carpet. The "en-suite" was more like what you would get in a caravan and not a modern one at that, pre-fab and just put in the corner of the room with a shower stall that was about 3 feet by 18 inches, more like an aircraft toilet with a very small shower. Also the smell of urine was overpowering the window of the room had to be kept open which didn't go well with the mighty 747's flying at 200 foot over the hotel, lucky they stopped flying at 10pm. I don't know what washing powder is used for the towels but they smelt of a mild korma, funny that.

"Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We definitely would not be staying here again" (107245921)
Friendly staff. Breakfast in room.
The bathroom was very very small. The shower cubicle was very very small, the shower curtain did not fit so the water went everywhere. The drains smelt in the plughole of the shower. There were two people in the room but only one bath towel and one hand towel was provided! The walls in the rooms were paper thin, we could hear everything in the other rooms - even a man snoring in the early hours of Saturday morning....! There was also a giggling woman in the next room who kept us awake on Sat/Sun. Beds we uncomfortable! This was definitely not drinking water as when you had a cup of tea/coffee there was a clear scummy film over the top of the drinks. The drinks/snack machine would not give change. It was disgusting that you had to pay extra for breakfast! Room was cold.

"Overall it was fine for price charged." (107213625)
For the price charged it was quite reasonable.
Regarding shuttle bus pick up from airport to lodge, the time waiting at airport was too long, ie we where given unrealistic times for bus arrival at airport.

"I quite liked it although you have to share the bathroom, but the bed was comfortable and the room clean. The area around the hotel has a couple of nice pubs and, even though you're near the airport, you don't really hear the planes. I have to say that I stayed in this hotel a couple of times and the experience very much depends on which "house" you end up sleeping in: some are cleaner and more welcoming than others, and on one occasion I really didn't like the room at all (small, dirty bathroom, noisy neighbours)." (107285213)
clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient.
carpet could do with some cleaning, sound-proofing inexistant, shared shower.

"One night's stay at this hotel is bearable, again due to its sheer proximity to Heathrow Terminal 5. More than one night, however, would make me claustrophobic and cross." (107160591)
Proximity to decent pub over the road and to Heathrow Terminal 5; tariff is reasonable for the area.
Room and toilet/shower areas were tiny.

Friendly staff, free transit to/from airport, close to a couple of pubs.
was unaware that a phone call was neccesary for the hotel shuttle. Clear instruction including the location that the shuttle arrives, I'm sure would be helpful to those booking in the future.

Staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. Nice room....comfortable. I could really relax. It was a very pretty B and B overall which I like. Loved the pub across the street. Very convenient to the airport.
The shower and bathroom was the smallest I've ever encountered. Hard to shower without slamming elbows on the faucets.

Little niggles - would have liked a remote control for TV and a bedside lamp, and the light over the washbasin mirror didnt work. Would have liked 2 pillows not one, and the matress on the bed felt 'well used'.

Convenient to Terminal 5 and 2 pubs nearby serving meals. Good shower. Bathroom clean.
Separate house not mentioned on website so the picture of the hotel was in fact misrepresentation of our accommodation. Poor quality and stained carpet in bedroom. Clean bed linen but I did not dare look at the bed. Broken door handle on bathroom. Front door not very secure.

The hotel was convenient for layover without having to stay at big hotel chain. Liked the free shuttle.

"It wouldn't take a lot to make this place into a much nicer Motel to stay in. Some attention to the small things goes a long way, ie. having things that match - cups, glasses, bed linen. A double room for two adults is only given 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. " (107290169)
Close to the airport and has a lovely pub around the corner that does fantastic meals.
The first room we were given was disgusting and smelt of mould. We requested a room change. The second room, although it didn't smell, it wasn't much better. It was a run down house that seemed to of been redecorated in a hurry and converted into 5 rooms.

"I would consider going to another hotel if the rooms are not cleaner next time." (97381363)
Check-in was good. Price was very good.
Slow collection from the airport is a recurring factor with Heathrow Lodge. You are told 20 minutes but this is always wrong - it is invariably double that time at least, irrespective of whenever you call. Directions for collection are not clear at all. The room was not as clean as I expected - almost Third World. Rooms could do with a serious lick of paint. I removed three spiders from the ceiling before settling to sleep. When was the room last cleaned?

The receptionist on duty was excellent. As well as dealing with guests checking in she also answered the phone to give directions and deal with other queries.

"The hotel served the purpose of giving us a convenient place to stay at Heathrow as we traveled from Asia to North America. It would be nice if the hotel's pickup locations at the airport terminals were labeled with the hotel's name. " (108072777)
This hotel satisfied our need for a low cost hotel near Heathrow with a free shuttle service. It was easy to book online. The staff was friendly.
Compared to our stay at a hotel at the Luton airport, this hotel is much older and not nearly as nice. Both hotels charged the same rate but the Heathrow Lodge had no internet service available, little soundproofing in the rooms to suppress the sound of the airport traffic, and overall felt dingy and small with uncomfortable beds.

"This was the worst place I have stayed since traveling as a student 30 years ago. I will never stay there again. " (108002715)
It was inexpensive.
The hotel did not receive my internet booking so I had to call twice to verify that I had a reservation. That I had a reservation number made no difference. The reception area was tiny, very unclean, had a ragged mat in front of the reception desk.Tere were 8 people checking in waiting in line for at least 1 half hour, and the courtesy van took 1 hour to collect me at the airport. The van wait would have been ok if it were communicated that it would take that long. Also I could have chosen take a taxi if I had known so that I could have avoided feeling abandoned for nearly an hour. The light bulb in the reading light beside the bed was burnt out and the sole staff was busy with receiving other guests so I could not get a new one.

room (in house separate from main hotel) was shabby (though not dirty) - large crack in wall, missing wardrobe doors, no lamp, faulty light fitting that could not be repaired that evening
