the room was clean and tidy and I was very impressed when I spoke on the phone with a member of staff who was very helpful at giving me directions.
i didnt expect the room to be so small at such a high rate. It was very hot and although there is a fan it was very noisy, the blinds were quite poor at blocking any light out and the shower was cold in the morning.

"I would recommend to friends to stay at your Hotel" (107156275)
The female trainee on the Check in desk was polite, neatly attired, pleasent and she had a smile. I would like to complement her. Also the African gentleman at the information desk was polite friendly and quite helpful.

"Good, I would stay again but only for 1 night unless I was returning with friends or family were by I would recommend this hotel due to its central location and clean facilities." (107211559)
It was a quick process to check in and the room was clean.
I wasn't asked at check-in whether I wanted to have breakfast and the building wasn't signed very well as to where the restaurants were. I also thought the rooms could do with being sound proofed a bit more.

"We always come back to you so I would say good. If there has been a problem the staff have sorted it out and have also been able to give us a refund in one instance" (97193026)
Close to all we need, very reasonably marketed. The rooms seem to be well sound proofed from adjoining rooms, free safe for valuables.
Only constructive criticism ie windows could open a bit more but I understand why not, The toilet obviously doesn't get a good scrub as inside the bowl is brown which could easily be avoided with lime scale cleaner and brush - it just makes me wonder if the rest has been done with anti bacterial cleaner etc. We stayed 2 nights but after room was cleaned after 1st night the shower cubicle had not. We do not use facilities for breakfast because of the queuing but there are plenty of places in the vicinity so not a problem after all you only have so much room. Even though we were on 9th floor we could hear revellers in the street but again not something you can manage, just seemed strange as we were so far up.

"Not bad for value in central london" (107104291)
Room was clean and had really goo d views
Staff not very polite at reception, the receptionist who booked us in was a trainee and didn't know what she was doing, but the other staff around didn't help her. We weren't explained how to use the room key or where any where was in the hotel or if we had any questions.

"The hotel was generally good but some of the staff could do with a review on customer service - a smile and a thank you go a long way!" (108006762)
The communal areas were of a very high standard, the room was clean and had everything that was needed.
The young man on check in barely spoke to us - i appreciate he was undergoing training but a smile and a sorry you had to wait would have gone a long way. The hotel name outside was not lit up on a night which made it difficult to spot when coming out of the tube station.

"Would not stay there again in a hurry, I felt it was exspensive for what we got.." (99443488)
The bed was clean and comfortable.. Nice but exspensive bar.
The room was extremely small, the shower was cold both in the evening and the morning. Very limited choice of tea and coffee, like many people I used de-caffinated coffee.(this choice was not available). The breakfast was only just adequate, I felt it was like eating in a canteen and the full breakfast was badly cooked and again with limited choice,(not the best 3 star hotel i have stayed in). You have to wait a long time for a lift, as there are about 11 floors, we were on 6 and had to wait about 10 minutes, not good if you are in a hurry..

"Lovely, central hotel with friendly, helpful staff." (97992165)
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with good facilities.
Check in was a disaster. We arrived early and left our luggage but were not told to complete the paper work. When we returned at 14:30 to check in, we were told our room was not ready/cleaned, and may not be till later that evening, as we hadn't completed paper work on arrival at 10:00. We had a further one and a half hours to wait before we could check in which is very inconsiderate.

"For the purpose of our stay this hotel was excellent value for money, room and facilities adequate and in a perfect location." (108016710)
Location was our main priority and this hotel certainly was within easy access to all West End attractions.
Hotel reception when arrived was extremely busy and a queueing system was in place, a few more members of staff working on reception wouldn't have gone a miss, during what was a very busy period.

"This is the third time that we have stayed at the St Giles and again the overall experience was nothing less than very pleasant." (97097981)
Staff are polite and helpful, cleanliness of room not to be faulted, overall organisation is very good.
The step down from the shower is rather high, making one feel that without something to hold onto could easily lead to a fall. We were disappointed at having to accept a smoking room on our first night, however it was corrected on the second day.

"Room was functional, hotel was well-located for my purposes, and staff were helpful, particularly the concierge staff." (97751949)
Room basically worked as needed, except that toilet-paper holder was broken. Coffee-maker in room.
Drink machines on lower two floors would not take Pound coins; no apparent effort being made to fix them (desk staff said they "sometimes work"). Room was very small.

"Very poor indeed" (97349082)
Online booking efficient
Extensive list. Generally very slow/poorly organised and pedantic. Booking in took ~45 minutes and so made us late for an evening appointment. Bureaucracy over procedure for using leisure club meant I was eventually unable to do so due to limited time (a mjor reason for choosing the hotel!).

"Overall this hotel was adequate, however I would not recommend it to those staying more than a night or two, and certainly not to light sleepers. My friend and I found the rooms extremely hot, even though we had no radiator on. There was no air conditioning, and as the windows only open a few inches, the air that gets into the room is very little. Outside many rooms on a particular side of the hotel there is some sort of ventilation system which is on 24 hours a day. It is extremely loud, and opening the window at night makes it all the worse. I am a light sleeper and found it impossible to get any rest because of this. The room itself was not large, but cosy and bright nonetheless, and the beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of spare pillows and blankets, and also lots of towels. The shower head is not adjustable, so this is a minus point for anyone who isn't 6'3, but that's just an observation. A point to note; if you don't plan on getting up early in the mornings, do remember to hang the 'do not disturb' sign on the outside of your door. Room service can arrive at a revoltingly early hour in the morning! There is a concierge service, but if you intend on calling for assistance with plans etc., I suggest leaving it before or after check in/out times, as they become manically busy. Staff seem friendly enough, although they don't always remember to restock the tea making facilities. All in all, I personally wouldn't return to this hotel because of the noise and heat factor, but perhaps guests who are used to staying in a big city would not notice this at all. It's a good place to stay for a night or two, but definitely not much longer than that. I expected more, judging from the first appearance of the plush entrance foyer, but it's close proximity to the tube and shopping areas make up for it. Happy holidays to all! :)" (97859779)
Very central, close to tube station, close to shopping district/other amenities
Rooms too hot, windows do not open very much, noisy ventilation system outside window

"The check-in was a little slow and when we arrived at our room it was still full of someone else's bags. The staff were appologetic, and gave us another room straight away. The location was fantastic, we were able to walk to China Town for a meal and then onto the theatre and walk back again. The only downside was inadequate double glazing that let in a lot of city noise. We would book again, but next time we would ask for a room facing the rear rather than the front of the hotel."
