"We were very pleased with this hotel. It represents good value for money. It was spotlessly clean in all areas which is important. The dining room was clean and tidy and the staff smartly dressed. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and we were constantly asked if there was anything else we would like. We had tea-making facilities in the room. We would definitely use this hotel again. The location is very central and it was a pleasure to stay at the hotel." (97451848)

Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Smartly-dressed staff. Comfortable lounge. Looks nice from outside as it is well lit and has flowers in tubs. Centrally located. Excellent value for money.

Room rather small. Shower in the bathroom was faulty. We only had one pillow.

Great location, close to British Museum, tube, Oxford St shops. Room was clean, the staff were very friendly and the included breakfast (if you like english breakfasts) was a great start to the day.

A little bit expensive for such a small room with shared bathroom facilities.

Excellent value, spotless room, very friendly staff, room cleaned and tidied everyday plus fresh towel laid out, good food and always asked by staff if I wanted more, plus amazing, central location just round the corner from the British museum, close to tube but also walking distance to Oxford Street, Trafager Square etc.

Good value when you compare rates for staying in London. Staff were extremely helpful in all aspects but especially when it came to giving direction for trains and cabs. Breakfast and service by the kitchen staff was worthy of that of a good restaurant.

Shared bathroom is a bit of an inconvenience.

It is very good value for money, except that there was no TV in the room, but a nice elgant lounge. The staff are very kind and konw how to manage their business. They could only do better if they provide sundaries (toileteries)." (97425485)

    the room was clean

the ceiling had water leak damage and wasn't repaired proparly, the outer window was worn and rattled all night causing us not to be able to sleep we had to have the window open because the room eas unberably hot , the decor was very dated and poor.

We both tought that even that the room was small (and very pink) that is was just what we wanted, even the toilets and bathroom in the hall was clean and the water in the shower was nice and hot; not too expensive and very central in a a very nice area. We didn´t really try the breakfast, but the overall service was good and the reception-staff very friendly and helpfull. We would go back there again.

We didn´t spend much time at the hotel, so we don´t really have anything to complain about.

"overall i was very happy with my accommodation as i had no great expectations. i wanted simple, cheap, basic, unmodernised accommodation with no frills, no internet, no noise, and no fuss. it was perfect, and i wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if I come to London. i liked having an opening window, and a nice cold room with fresh air. maybe they could put in a lamp by the bed ( replace the strip lights). they were very friendly, and the manager helped to make sure i could catch the football on telly that evening. maybe have a map on the wall in the foyer, and a tube map, and list of local eating places." (97694272)

i really liked the unmodernised simplicity of the place. there was no TV in my room great! the window opened onto a strange garden perfect! it was quiet, friendly and basic. it was round the corner from the course i was doing, and walking distance of the west end.

the bed was a bit old, and i don't like sheets and blankets, prefer duvet. breakfast was a bit fraught, people being shouted at who didn't understand. could we help ourselves to cereal, drinks etc. the english breakfast was good, though a bit cold. what about a water dispenser somewhere?

Our room was next to the toilet and shower facilities for rooms who did not have an ensuite (which we did). The noise factor was unreal from about 6.30am, some people liked to sing in the shower !!!!!! the breakfast finished at 9.15 am which is a little early if you are away for the weekend.

The fact that the windows opened, and there was a lovely view of the garden.

The fluorescent lights in the bedroom - there was no bedside light to create ambient lighting. The furniture was shabby and looked like it had not been upgraded for many years. Our room was en-suite, but the flushing of the communal toilets next door to our room could be heard clearly.

"No slim matrass over the basematrass. Springs hurting my body in the bed, told the staff but noone did anything but said that the time was wrong to come at night and tell them and not in the morning (beeing really rude acting as I was disturbing them), they said that they would flipp the matrass over and that they couldn't buy a new one due that it was saturday, but absolutely nothing happened, I asked for a blanket to put over the hard springs in the matrass and this was aperently also bad timing to ask about due to that I didn't come in the morning (?),dirty yellow stained undersheets, smelly carpet, you could hear your neighbour talk and their phones ring, doors slaming due to springs waking you up, rude staff, greasy breakfast and rude breakfaststaff, or maby I should say unmotivated, a to simple eating area concisting of cheap kitchenfurniture, loads of different patterns on the old (probably from -70 somewhere)carpet, curtains and in combination with the light pink walls with hardly no pictures on them gave a kind of psycothic feeling and made you not wanting to stay in there. tiles around the sink (no sink to wash hands in the shared bathroom or toilet!) and other gear was probably from the seventies and the same for the teaboiler, totally dirty, sticky with dirty nonmatching mugs. The preassure in the shower was bad and at times you had to ajust the cold nob due to the water becoming to hot or cold. The other bathroom concisting a tub (that was dirty) didn't have a functioning shower, only the tap was working. To much money for really bad service and bad small room. Had an ache in my body days after we left the hotel due to the very uncomfortable bed. The heating was off the first days, asked for blanket at night and was told that i should have come in the morning, and that i had been in my room douring the day so I should have been able to come earlier. Had to ask the cleaner (who was nice) for another blanket the next night although they put on the heating that was hardly noticeble at all. Bad, that's all I have to say. Would have loved to have known this before I booked this hotel. I would absolutely recomend any other hotel in London than this one!" (97016448)

Staff, room, breakfast, the interiour, well everything about it exept the front door I guess.
